Quitter

main
I quit! We're finally done! I officially have my body back. I quit nursing and pumping so G is completely on his own, and I'm completely on my own. No more dragging that pump to work every day. I know everyone here probably thought I had the *ugliest* handbag on the planet since I was always carrying that thing around.

It's amazing how little damage pregnancy and nursing did to my body. I'm not saying I want to do it again, but I'm pleased that all in all - there's very little change. For a while it was looking grim - droopy here, extra padding there - but all that seems to have resolved itself.

Now, I can drink what I want, get shot up with botox, get a facial at the spa - all those fabulous things that you're not allowed to do while nursing. Just in time too... with *that* birthday looming...

LJ not the same anymore

main
Every time I log in to LJ and look at my friends page - I only see one or two entries. I know there are more than that... and the entries that I saw the time before are no longer there. Just try to find an answer to this on LJ support. Oh and speaking of support - I want to support LJ - but my donation came up for renewal and I didn't make it. Something so simple and it's not working?

Plus all these ads? Barf. I've been blogging here since time began. It makes me sad.

perfect Friday night

Sitting on my bed, watching my son rock in his rocker with his little toes sticking out of his blanket, glass of wine in hand, and Madmen on the laptop.

Perfect.

girl + mom time = me

main

I had a great girl weekend with Amy. Our party days are done - so the weekend pretty much consisted of spa time, hitting our favorite restaurants, and going to a movie. G's summer nanny babysat him most of the time. It was lovely.

Monday was all family time. We took G to a seafood boil and then to my parents. The seafood was *fantastic* and G was on his best behavior. I can't believe I'm now "that person" with the baby, hanging out with the baby people, talking about baby stuff. It was a good contrast to girl time the other part of the weekend.

I've got a foot in both camps and that's the way I plan to keep it.

vetsulin, glucose meter, syringes

main
I have all of these things if any of you know anyone who has a diabetic dog. The vetsulin is unopened and not expired, the syringes are individually wrapped and unopened, and the glucose meter has barely been used - has the little blood draw lancets (tons) and plenty of strips., All told - the stuff is worth about $100. I'd love to give it to someone who could use it.
